After returning from practice in America, we have invited a fellow and a student Jozo Ivanković to tell us his experiences. We asked him to tell us about his experiences of work and residence.
"The main motive of my departure was the invitation of the owner of a production company (Stella Mar Films- http://stellamar.org) to help him with shooting a new documentary film (http://wherethereisdarkness.com/) based on a true story. The main goal was to work with the camera and filming with a drone. First days of stay we spent in the office making a synopsis. All recorded materials were needed to be prepared and the location of the new recording arranged, actors and extras also. I had a task to make a poster / poster of the film, which was accepted as final. It was the first time I worked with one of the best cameras in the world RED EPIC DRAGON 8K, which is used for the film production and I gained a lot of experience working with the camera, preparing the scene, correcting light and temperature, working with actors. I'm glad I felt useful, they adopted some of my suggestions that I have learned through my work, through education in Italy and studying at college "Logos Center" in Mostar. I was located in the small town of Merrit Island, with a friend who lives there with his family. Before I came to America, I set out that I have to go to the NBA basketball game, which was realized, from the atmosphere to the match and cheer - score of 10! We also made a day trip to NASA Museum (NASA's Kennedy Space Center), where I went through a simulation of rocket launch, saw the first rocket, even experienced launch of one rocket. The description in one sentence: "Another world, it's great to go see and experience, but east, west, home's best! "
The film crew in March comes to Bosnia and Herzegovina to visit Jozo and college "Logos Center 'in Mostar, where it will be possible to discuss future cooperation, possible study trips and similar.
In addition to the experience of his stay in America, Jozo will transfer his acquired experience to the students of Design, where he is the assistant to the courses Photography I and Photography II.
